Growing up we always has a funky old, copy of a copy or a copy, piece of paper on the fridge. Whenever, I tried to make and excuse or shirk my responsibilities, my father would make me go and read the old, and at the time very annoying sentiment. I haven't thought about it in a long time. I was visiting my parents and my younger brother was getting getting the, "Go-read-the-fridge" speech. I laughed inside. Then I read it.
For while now I have been thinking of the the kind of person I am and the kind of person I want to become. I want to be a force for good. I want to be able to say I tried my hardest, I worked my tail off, and I achieved my goals.
Do you know people who make you feel drained or worked up after talking to them? Me too? I don't ever want to be that person. I my goal is to be the person you come to in order to feel uplift and love. I want to always be part of the solution. I have come to the conclusion that the easiest way to fail is in your attitude. Negatively kills dreams and destroys lives. May we all be the good in the world.
I thought I would share with you the attitude of a Winner vs. the attitude of loser? This was my "Lecture" on many many occasions. Which will you be?
Winner vs. Loser
by: Anonymous
The Winner is always part of the answer;
The Loser is always part of the problem.
The Winner is always has a program;
The Loser always has an excuse.
The Winner says,"Let me do it for you;
The Loser says;" That is not my job."
The Winner sees an answer for every problem;
The Loser sees a problem for every answer.
The Winner says," It may be difficult but it is possible";
The Loser says,"It may be possible but it is too difficult."
When a Winner makes a mistake, he says," I was wrong";
When a Loser makes a mistake, he says," It wasn't my fault."
A Loser makes promises.
Winners have dreams;
Loser have schemes.
Winners say," I must do something";
Losers say,"Something must be done."
Winners are a part of the team;
Losers are apart from the team.
Winners see the gain;
Losers see the pain.
Winners see possibilities;
Losers see problems.
Winners believe in win/win; Losers believe for them to win someone has to lose.
Winners see the potential;
Losers see the past.
Winners choose what they say;
Losers say what they choose.
Winners use hard arguments but soft words;
Losers use soft arguments but hard words.
Winners stand firm on values but compromise on petty things;
Losers stand firm on petty things but compromise on values.
Winners follow the philosophy of empathy: "Don't do to others what you
would, not want them to do to you";
Losers follow the philosophy, "Do it to others before they do it to you."
Winners make it happen;
Losers let it happen.
